Singapore primary Chinese runs on a weekly rhythm: a new text, a new 词语 list, and 听写 or 默写 to check it stuck. Hanzi Sheets is designed for exactly that cycle. Copy the word list from the textbook or the school app, paste it in, and you have a sheet where every word gets a pinyin label, an English meaning (handy for parents stronger in English), tracing grids, and a step-by-step stroke-order strip for every character.

Rehearse 听写 without reading every word aloud
The dictation-quiz template prints the pinyin and meaning for each word next to empty grids, with an answer key at the bottom. Your P1 child writes from the prompt, self-checks against the key, and you find out on Wednesday what's shaky instead of on Friday after the test. Set it up once for a P1 child
Recommended defaults for six- and seven-year-olds: grid style 田 (tian zi ge, the grid used in school), cell size L (16 mm) for the first term, one row per character, trace-to-blank ratio 3:1. Keep sheets short — eight to ten words — so a sheet is a 15-minute task, not a battle. When handwriting steadies, move to M (13 mm) and add a second row.
