The vocabulary, and why these words
The pre-filled list is the language of the festival as children experience it, not textbook filler: 新年 (xīn nián, New Year), 春节 (chūn jié, Spring Festival), 红包 (hóng bāo, red envelope — the one every kid knows), 灯笼 (dēng lóng, lantern), 烟花 (yān huā, fireworks), 拜年 (bài nián, paying New Year visits), 团圆 (tuán yuán, reunion), 饺子 (jiǎo zi, dumplings). Each prints with pinyin, an English gloss, stroke-order diagrams and tracing grids.

Three ways families use these sheets
